Pacific Beach

The last day of our trip, we spent the afternoon at Pacific Beach.  It was A.M.A.Z.I.N.G.  I haven't felt sand that soft in years.  Okay, maybe decades.  But I am not telling how old I was or am.  No.

USS Midway

Day 5 was another day for Jon at the ASI Convention.  So we waited until he was finished and then headed over to the USS Midway.

Going Exploring

The 3rd day of our Spring Break, Jon had to go to his ASI Convention all day.  The girls and I were going stir crazy in our little hotel room - there's only so much television you can watch, crafting you can do, and waiting for it to warm up so you can swim before you go crazy.  So, the girls and I went walking.  And it quickly turned into something fun.

While we were walking around the block, we found a fun trail that ran behind a school and up a hill.  We started taking pictures of all the flowers/nature we saw: (Note, this was so fun for us because we don't normally see all this natural wildlife in Las Vegas)

Soak Zone

Sea World, day 2.  The previous day ended with our favorite orca, so it only seemed fitting to pay him a visit first thing in the morning.  And he did not disappoint.  What always amazes me, with Jocey, is that the animals just know how she is and what a tender heart she has towards animals.  As soon as we reached the glass, the whales came right over and started chirping at her.  At one point, Ulysses even rolled over on his side, seeming like he wanted to get a better look at her.  Truly amazing.

Da da da da dum, Shamu, Shamu!

Our first adventure took us to OUR favorite California destination - Sea World!  This was our third trip, and I think we did things a little bit better this time.  Not only did we ONLY take my purse into the park (we usually take at least 2 bags), we also bought the All Day Dining Pass.  Saved our bacon!  Literally!

Spring Break 2012

This is our family's first official Spring Break.  And boy did we "break!"  It was a blast.  Jon had an ASI Convention that just happened to fall on the same week of Jocey's Spring Break, so we took off Friday night and headed to San Diego.
