While we were walking around the block, we found a fun trail that ran behind a school and up a hill. We started taking pictures of all the flowers/nature we saw: (Note, this was so fun for us because we don't normally see all this natural wildlife in Las Vegas)
(Jocey called these Unicorn flowers since they looked like a unicorn's horn.)
(This was looking up the hill to the trail we were on. All these wildflowers were just beautiful!)
(This was a really cool leaf - one side was smooth, the other side was fuzzy.)
At the end of our trail, we found a park. Can you see Jocey's excitement?
(Jocey and Caylee went down the slide together. It's so fun to watch my girls figure out things I loved to do as a kid.)
Our next adventure that day would be when we went to get dinner. We started out at a pizzeria, where the prices were ASTRONOMICAL for a pizza. We thought that if we were going to spend that kind of money on a pizza, we'd rather get something better. So, we looked on the garmin, picked a seafood restaurant, and started driving. When we arrived at Poseidon Del Mar, we were so pleasantly surprised.
The food on the menu looked amazing, but the view was spectacular. An open patio, right on the beach.
(Jon's Ahi Tuna)
(My Sea Bass with Mashed Potatoes and Heirloom Tomatoes)
(Jocey and her Fish and Chips, which was SO yummy!)
After dinner, we took the girls out to the beach. It was their first time in the ocean.
(Jocey loved seeing the rocks, how smooth they were. Again, GREAT teaching moment for us.)
